AgriFutures – Revaluing Workshop Waste in Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries

AgriFutures required a diverse and expert team to deliver a project under the national waste initiative focused on finding innovative and novel solutions to repurposing and recycling existing pre-farm gate waste. They required a solution that aligned to current domestic and international practice and included examples of agricultural, fisheries and forestry application building on the opportunities presented by technology. As part of a large suite of related projects, consideration of barriers including logistics, regulatory requirements, and environmental and economic impacts was required.

What we did

  • Working with project lead, Murrang Earth Sciences, we bought together an expert and diverse team.

  • The team reviewed current national and international policy and practice resulting in options for sector consideration.

  • Designed and delivered stakeholder workshops across the three sectors to determine the most practical solutions, which fed into a feasibility analysis and ultimately a set of pathways for adoption.

The Result
