South East Councils Climate Change Alliance (SECCCA) required support to engage with small to medium businesses (SMEs) in their region to pilot the creation of a Toolkit for Small Businesses to use to assist with climate adaptation.
The project involved desktop analyses of the current situation for SMEs in the region, working collaboratively with four example SMEs from different sectors to understand their needs for climate adaptation, and develop the pilot Toolkit, with four sector case studies as examples.
What we did
We delivered an interactive toolkit designed to help small business owners prepare for the impacts of climate change by building an adaptation plan for their business.
We piloted the Toolkit with a selection of four small businesses local to the SECCCA region from various sectors.
We developed supporting documentation including a desktop literature review to provide users of the toolkit with background information for the toolkit, adaptation options, and climate change, and links to other resources.
