Wildspotter - Inaugural Wildspotter Ambassador Program

Wild Spotter is a movement engaging and empowering the public to help find, map, and prevent invasive species in wilderness areas, wild rivers, and other natural areas in the United States of America.

The organisers required support from a science impact professional with strong capability in co-design to teach into the first ever Invasive Species Executive Leadership Short Course run in December 2023 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA.

The second Invasive Species Ambassador Training will take place at Lake Guntersville State Park, Alabama in February 2025. Click here for more information.

What we did

  • We partnered with the organisers to co-create a valuable session for participants to build their capability in co-design with multiple stakeholders in their local area.

  • We delivered this session in Idaho with excellent feedback from participants, and remained onsite as mentor for the more than 50 ambassadors-in-training supporting their development during the week.

Science into Action resides on the Country of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge the custodianship of all Traditional Owners across Australia, and the historic dislocation and dispossession of their lands. We celebrate the extraordinary resilience of their culture - the oldest living culture on the globe. We pay respects to elders past, present and emerging. We look forward to our shared future together.
